Modular tape dispenser for e.g. Ikea SKADIS

Here is our modular holder system for paper tapes / masking or washi tapes, compatible with, for example, the Ikea SKADIS pegboard system. The set consists of a left and right holder, a roller (approx 2.20cm diameter) and a tear-off plate – each in four lengths (approx 3.80cm, 7.80cm, 11.80cm, and 15.80cm). An additional adapter allows for flexible expansion and combination of the system

The distance between the roller and the tear-off plate is approximately 2.80cm each (max thickness of the tape roll)

All parts can be assembled without tools after printing and removing the support structures

Function / Note:

• Designed for paper tapes

   

• Plastic tapes can generally also be torn off, but less easily and comfortably, as the 3D-printed serrated structure is not as sharp as metal blades

   

• For easy tearing of plastic tape, it may be advisable to stick commercially available replacement blades for parcel tape dispensers onto the tear-off plate

Assembly:

Simply insert the roller of the desired length into the left or right holder, slide on the tape rolls, attach the second holder, clip the tear-off plate of the appropriate length into the front of the holders, and finally hang the complete holder onto the pegboard

Optionally, use one or more adapters for individual extension

UPDATE 23.01.2026: The left and right holders, the adapter, and the respective tear-off plate have been refined so that the tear-off plate, once clipped into the holders from the front, can no longer slide out sideways, and the system is additionally stabilized
