V1.2 Mount Update*

• The bed mount has been updated after I noticed on my MINI that the chain was riding higher over time.
• The previous design used a link that was compatible with the OEM P2S chain.
• The updated mount is no longer compatible with the original chain and now supports only Smart-Link XP P2S links.
• This change helps ensure a longer lifespan while maintaining the intended chain geometry.

Compatibility

• Compatible with A1 MINI Using: 15x Smart-Link X/P Gen2 Link  (Even tighter link and NON-P2S compatible, stronger lock area link are coming)

What you need:

• 15× links
• This mount kit
• Optional lock tab

• One or more table shims (X/P PTFE clip included in the link profile) to reduce stress on the printer grommet

   

Installation

 (Installation Action HD video on the MINI soon)

• Follow this video for assembling links.
• Assemble the printer base mount onto the chain and push it fully onto the base rubber grommet.
• The chain needs to be inserted all the way to the last link at the bed. You can insert the bed mount either before or when there are only 1–2 links remaining.
• Once the bed mount is fully slid in, attach the remaining link to the mount.
• Install the mount cap. It will require some force as it fits securely; the contour line should sit nicely and fully clipped in.
• This is version 1 of the mount. Since the chain was already at version 1.1, I labeled everything 1.1 to match. In the future, don’t be surprised if you use a mount or chain link with a different version.

Material: PETG as PLA with probably break.

Start by cleaning your build plate as follows: rinse it, wash with dish soap, scrub thoroughly, rinse again under running water, and then dry it with a clean microfiber cloth.

If your textured gold plate is in good condition and properly cleaned, No Glue, you should not experience any issues.

Also make sure there are no cold drafts if you are printing on an open machine. 

If printing on a P2S in Ludicrous mode, possibly even in Standard mode, open the top lid and front door to ensure proper cooling.

• Profile: Optimal
• Layer Height: 0.16 mm
• Mode: CERTIFIED LUDICROUS
• Infill: 15%
• Walls: 4
• Bottom Layers: 3
• Top Layers: 5

Printing Details:

• Supports: Not Required (Maybe add brim if you have bed adhesion issue, one component print default with)
• Print Time: 56m20s
• Filament Usage: 0.42 oz
• Estimated Cost: ~$0.36 (based on a $26 PETG spool)
