Description

Basically this tool came about due doing some maintenance on my side by side/atv. I had to remove all these dirt crusted screw in type 6mm plastic body rivets. When they get dirt behind the face of the rivet they are incredibly hard to remove and usually the whole body moves as one when trying to unscrew.  I made this tool to keep tension and safely remove the rivet from the plastics without breaking it. It gently squeezes in the prongs on the screw part to prevent breakage and uses leverage to pry them from panels. Using a screw driver tip or even other metal products designed for this usually ended up in busted rivets or marred plastic pieces. This tool solved both and made it super easy to remove the rivets.  I included both the STEP and STL, also a orcaslicer .3mf with my settings. Enjoy!

  • PRINTS with supports on one section.
  • I used 20% gyroid infill and solid core with solid tool tip as well
  • I also made mine with 4 walls in polymaker PLA pro

print quality not amazing well mine didn't print perfect but they work really well and are tough I used them to remove boot trim on BMW 3 series e46

I'm happy to hear they worked out in the end. Did you print with pla? Looks like you had some shrinkage.

yep just stranded pla I just hit print didn't change any settings. printer is enclosed so no environmental changes to effect print like I said they worked well so I'm happy

printed well, did not work well on the clips for my KRX 1000

what didn't work, maybe I can modify it to work with both types of clips. Was the head snapping off or just having trouble getting underneath?
