FlipDeck – (Hoverboard Edition) Magnetic Finger Fidget with Trick Action
Note:
This print was made with 5 colors, gray first in the non-AMS slot, the other colors in the AMS. You always have to manually feed and pull out the gray material for the first 3-4 layers. The printer simply stops during this process.
I recommend wet sanding and polishing the top surface after printing to better highlight the design.
With approximately 6 hours of print time, this is more of a hobbyist 3D print, for fans of the movies and for everyone who enjoys it.

FlipDeck is a magnetic fidget toy, designed in the size of a fingerboard – but without wheels. Instead, embedded magnets ensure that two decks clip together cleanly. A flick of the finger can simulate tricks like kickflips – super satisfying, super compact.

Required Magnets
For a complete set, 16 magnets with Ø 8 × 2 mm are needed.
About the Design
This project was inspired by the idea of magnetic fidget fingerboards, as known, for example, from MZM Digital Design.
However, it is not a remix.
The model was completely rebuilt, including its own shape, construction, and artwork.
I am making the file available for free because I want everyone to be able to have fun with the FlipDeck.
FeaturesCompletely new construction
- Integrated magnet pockets
- Stylish deck design
- Easy 3D printability
- Perfect for playing, stress relief, and practicing mini-tricks
Note
MZM Digital Design popularized the basic idea behind magnetic fidget boards, and I think it's fair to mention this source of inspiration – despite the completely independent model.
Have fun printing and doing tricks!
