D6x3 mm Round Magnet (20PCS) - CA007

Description

Meet Screwy, yet another tiny bit driver built for light duty work. It’s super compact and good for things like opening cases and taking off coverplates. I carry one in my bag.

Features

  • Cap doubles as a mini thumb driver - Yeah… the cap is also a screwdriver. Why? No idea. I saw a hole so I put a bit holder in it.
  • Swivel cap - Pops on with a satisfying click. Swivels to make pressing and screwing easier.
  • Ergonomic body - Faceted at the tip for grip. Smooth and round at the back for spinning.
  • Multiple sizes - Handle storage fits 25 mm hex bits. Print profile includes options for 1 to 5 handle-stored bits, plus one in the tip.
  • Magnetic bit retention - Both the tip and the cap hold 1/4 inch hex bits with standard D6x3 mm round magnets (x2). Customizable in the Fusion model.

Printing Notes

  • 0.2mm layer height, 4 walls, brim required
  • Use glue stick if you have bed-adhesion issues!
  • PLA Tough+ is ideal because of the very strong layer adhesion
  • PLA Basic works fine
  • Matte PLA is too brittle in my testing
  • PETG works fine
  • ABS, ASA, PC, and PA12 should work well.

Installation Notes

  • Completely remove the brim from the handle. Any leftover bits on the inside edge can affect the cap fitment. The brim is necessary due to the tiny amount of contact area with the build plate.

  • Install D6x3 mm round magnets into the handle and the cap using a drop of super glue (CA glue) and a non-metallic object to press into place. If fitment is too tight to do this (will vary by printer / slicer / magnets used), use a hex bit to press-fit the magnet. The diameter of the hole in the files is 6.15mm.

  • Works best with 25mm long ¼" hex bits.

Customization

Use Customize to tweak magnetic dimensions, quantity of bits, and a few other parameters. Fusion model is also available.
