Description

19” Rack Mount for ARRIS Surfboard SB & Netgear GB108 (Modular Design)

This is a custom-designed 19-inch rack mount built specifically to house an ARRIS Surfboard SB modem, a Netgear GB108 switch, and a removable blank module. The entire system is fully modular, letting you mix and match the components you need.

The mount is made from two screw-together halves, allowing for tighter tolerances, easier printing on smaller printers, and simple assembly. The center “blank” panel is optional and can be swapped out or replaced as I design future modules. Everything aligns cleanly using standard M3 screws and nuts—you’ll need 4 to 8 M3 bolts depending on how tightly you want to secure the two halves.

I made this when I found a surprising lack of server rack printables, so I just decided to give back!

I printed this prototype in PLA, which works great for cooler rack environments. However, if your rack tends to run warm, I strongly recommend printing in PETG to avoid heat-related warping over time.

This is the first in what will likely become a growing modular rack system. I plan to create additional blanks and device-specific inserts in the future so you can expand or customize the setup to match your gear.
