Ultralight Vortex Solo 10x25 and 8x25 lens caps,

I had been looking for some simple lens caps for my solo for some time, not finding anything that fit the bill, and so my optic kept getting tossed in my pocket or ruck, knowing the next time I wanted to pull it out, the lens would again be covered in lint, dust, debrise, and grime.
Finally I took it upon myself…
 

Using the rubberized coating of the Vortex Solo, the lens caps squeeze in to position and stay firmly attached. when attaching caps it can be helpful to push the lip in parallel with the lens (as opposed to pressing them straight down over lens'). Rear eye relief cup also needs to be turned ¼ turn out to allow for sufficient gap cap attachment lips.
In the spirit of simplicity and weight reduction, I opted for 1/16 shock cord looped once around the solo's leash point and tied firmly to both caps. enjoy!
