The "Black Floater" is a 3D-printed display stand that creates the illusion of perfect magnetic levitation, ideal for showcasing lightweight objects such as a decorative cube, special dice, or small miniatures.

The design is composed of three main parts:

  1. Mast and Base: A stable structure that conceals a powerful magnet (10mm diameter x5mm) at the top end of its arm. The base hides a tensioning screw and thread mechanism for the support line.
  2. Floating Cube/Object: A lightweight object (in this case, a hollowed-out cube) that houses a second magnet aligned with the mast's magnet.
  3. Hidden Support System: A discreet fishing line (or very thin wire) connects the floating object to the hidden tensioning screw in the base. By turning the screw, the line's tension is adjusted, allowing for precise positioning and surprising stability, despite the repulsion.
