Dust boot limiter for Koni/Tein on Tesla model 3 Y

This dust boot limiter is designed specifically for Koni Active Red Suspension that can be retrofitted to Tesla Model 3 and Y. There are two plates, one for front damper and the second plate for rear damper because they have a different diameter. 

It can be also used on Tein Endura ProPlus dampers by printing the front parts only which have the same diameter on both sides (51mm).

Without this part, when you install the dampers, the dust boot will have no support and could allow water/dirt get inside and also could make squishy sounds over bumps. 

Do not attempt to reuse the dust limiter from original damper because it does not fit and limits the suspension travel! Do not use the white plastic shims that came with Koni and I would suggest cutting ⅓ of the bump stops before final installation.

It will fit also custom Koni suspension sold by Reber Reifenhaus (Germany) which now is sold as black color instead of red which I have installed on my car. 

As filament material I will suggest PCTG but PETG/PETG-CF sould be fine. You can go to infill 100% but 50% should be enough.

Installation steps are simple:

• one plate contains parts for one damper, you need to duplicate it;
• m3 screws 20mm and nuts needed, two sets for each set (a total of 8 sets);
• insert nut in the hole and screws on the other side - see last photo;
• install them on the dampers as same height as original limiter;
• and apply a thin layer of sanitary silicone on the inside and tighten the screws gently;
• leave a few hours before mounting into the car for the silicone to cure.
