Description
Fully parametric 1/2" NPT sprinkler / NPT conduit extension designed for irrigation / electrical systems requiring adjustable and precise height adjustments.
The model supports customizable lengths from 46 mm to 250 mm, allowing exact alignment of sprinkler heads without purchasing multiple factory risers.
Tested and accurate tapered NPT male and female threads, modeled at the proper 1:16 taper and optimized for 3D printing. Outdoor durability is maximized when printed using fully dried ASA.
Key Features
- Accurate 1/2" NPT tapered threads (male + female)
- Fully parametric Fusion 360 model
- Includes parametric Length and Thread Tolerance for alternate Filaments
- Adjustable extension length: 46–250 mm
- Printed threads tested for leak-resistant sealing
- Hex base for tightening
- Smooth threads for teflon tape
Recommended Print Settings
- Material: ASA (preferred for sun & weather resistance)
- Orientation: Print vertically add brim as needed
Customized Parametric Model Settings in Bambu Studio
The MakerWorld Parametric Model Make only exports a few of the slicer settings. When opening a customized parametric model, ensure the slicer settings match the published .3mf file settings:
- Quality
- Layer Height .2
Seam Position: Nearest
- Strength
- Wall Loops: 8
- Top & Bottom Surface Pattern: Concentric
- Top & Bottom Shell Layers: 7
- Internal solid infill patterns: Archimedean Chords
- Sparse infill density 15%
Sparse infill pattern: Gyroid
- Speed
- Outer wall: 40 mm/s
- Inner wall: 150 mm/s
- Sparse infill:L 100 mm/s
Material Offset Guide (3D Printing)
When setting the Tolerance level in the Parametric Model use these offsets to adjust threads. The smaller (negative) the Tolerance then tighter fit the threads will have.
| Material | Internal Offset (mm) | External Offset (mm) | Notes |
| PLA | +0.10 to +0.20 | −0.10 to −0.20 | Minimal shrink; good dimensional stability |
| PETG | +0.15 to +0.25 | −0.15 to −0.25 | Slight swelling; add clearance |
| ASA | +0.20 to +0.30 | −0.20 to −0.30 | Shrink + warp; needs max compensation |
Notes
- Apply Teflon tape for best seal performance.
- Ensure length selected fits within printer build volume.
- Threads tested on standard U.S. irrigation fittings.
