Description

Boost Me (for free)

If you enjoy this model and decide to add Vermithrax to your campaign, I would greatly appreciate a 'Boost'! It helps me create and share more free, high-quality miniatures for the community. Thank you for your support and happy printing!

Introducing Vermithrax the Scarred, an ancient battle-worn red dragon for your tabletop RPG adventures!

This detailed miniature depicts an elder dragon whose hide is a testament to countless battles. From torn wing edges and deep gashes on his scales to a rugged, weary posture, Vermithrax embodies the raw power of a survivor. He is perfect as a formidable final boss or an ancient, story-driving NPC for your D&D or Pathfinder campaign.

The model is designed for easy FDM printing and looks fantastic when painted with weathered, scarred textures to highlight his veteran status.

Print Instructions:

  • Layer Height: For the best detail on scales and battle damage, I highly recommend a layer height of 0.08mm or 0.12mm.
  • Supports: Tree (Organic) supports are essential. Place them carefully under the large wings, the curled tail, and under the jaw/chin area for a clean print.
  • Infill: 15-20% infill is sufficient for strength.

Looks great! Glad you like it :) There is a bit of stringing on your print there. You might want to try and dry out your filament a bit

Yea, thanks. I'm new to all this, was suspecting maybe humidity... gunna try and work on that. Thanks for tip. Didnt realize I sent the pic with the supports still on, lol. Had a little trouble removing them around claws and face. Broke one finger, but to be honest it fits the "battle worn" theme. will try and post a better pic later. maybe after I paint.

Printed with "glow in the dark" filament, the result is very satisfying Unfortunately, I broke both claws while removing the supports

Unfortunately, while removing the supports, a piece broke off, but they were impossible to detach, which is a shame because it's a nice print

Support Issue:support trees were very difficult to remove from claws and ended up breaking fingers off with support.

Hey - Apologies for that. I got them off, but it was careful work. Ill redo the support layout and see if I can make them easier to detach

good print but the supports were a bit rough to take off but that is to be expected from these kinds of models
