Martin Taichi creates incredible works of art with his models, including this Corvette from the Expanse. I knew when I saw it, this had to be my first major print with my A1 Mini. But when I went to start it, I realized that the existing profile was very inefficient: It consumed 2100 grams of filament (only 1350 of which would end up in the models), 25 plates, and more than 4 days of continuous printing. Yikes! So I asked Martin for permission to create a new optimized print profile, and he kindly acknowledged that he isn’t a Bambu user, and said feel free. This is my first attempt to do so, and I welcome your feedback!  In the current version, the model weight is maintained, but the total filament usage for 4-color print is reduced to 1620 grams, with print time reduced from 104 hours to “just” 76. Amendments allowing for the improvement of efficiency (using a 0.200 standard BBL A1M build):<ul><li>As much as possible, 1 color per plate to reduce AMS related waste.<ul><li>This allows for removal of most priming towers.</li></ul></li><li>Crowd plates more to reduce overall number.</li><li>When possible, put the same/similar parts on the same plate.</li><li>Change of some settings so that AMS waste is further reduced, such as:<ul><li>Use infill to flush on all objects, reducing total flushing volume.</li></ul></li></ul>

I took an A1 Mini profile and fully tested it. As I tested it, I corrected issues and provided real photos of my print. Some of them I re-printed, some of them I didn&#39;t bother. &nbsp;Filaments used:<ul><li>Bambu PLA Metal Iron</li><li>Bambu PLA Metal Bronze</li><li>Bambu PLA Basic Silver</li></ul>Some notes:<ul><li>My photos show the underside front piece in silver. This looks incorrect so I set it to black like the others but I never re-printed it.</li><li>The guns are incomplete on my photos as they didn&#39;t fit through the posts. I ordered a bead reamer tool to fix this, but in my print I set the scale to 105% in hopes of new prints working without mods.</li><li>I corrected a bunch of other colors from the print I was using.</li><li>A couple things seemed to need a touch of glue but that was just me being picky.</li><li>The supports inside the unit for the doors and missiles to fit in seem really tricky to clear out. I did my best but I&#39;m open to any suggestions. </li></ul>

Tested A1 Mini + AMS

This is a 3D printed model of a generic Corvette Class Light Frigate of the MCRN from the tv show the Expanse. This particular ship is named the Phobos. The ship has several features:&nbsp;- Retractable PDCs- Openable Torpedo tubes with torpedos- Retractable Airlock cover- Extendable Docking Bridge- Openable Drone bay with a Drone&nbsp;The model is a kit and requires no glue. The ship is in scale with my <a target="_blank" href="https://www.printables.com/model/289226-morrigan-class-from-the-expanse" rel="nofollow noopener">Morrigan Class Patrol Destroyer</a> and my <a target="_blank" href="https://www.printables.com/model/136343-rocinante-from-expanse" rel="nofollow noopener">Rocinante</a> model.
