Description

My son wanted a dice tower of his own as he had been using an early version of one of my dnd boxes for rolling dice.  I quickly put this together for him and had it printed in a couple hours. The base and the tower lock together so they don't move around.

Version 2 Changes:

  • Noticed that my kids were breaking the parts off the top.  Added a bar around the top to make them more sturdy
  • Added parts to the underside of the ramps so that it could print without supports
  • Filled in the part under the bottom ramp so that it was solid and not hollow
  • Changed the front wall on the base to be thicker and a little more snug when the tower is stored in it.

Info:

Tower v1:

  • Overall size: 99.68mm tall x 51.37mm wide x 51.37mm deep
  • Supports needed
    • Suggest blocking supports on the underside of the tower as they are a pain to remove

Tower v2:

  • Overall size: 99.68mm tall x 51.37mm wide x 51.37mm deep
  • No supports needed

Base v1 & v2:

  • Overall size: 27.69 tall x 59.39 wide x 119.39 deep
  • No supports needed

Quick print with a simple yet clever storage design. I gave it a little trap door and some foam on the bottom got a better fit.

Sliced with Creality Print then printed with SUNLU wood PLA on my Creality Hi This printed and works great including the brick texture which I've seen other models struggle with

I printed a large collection of different dice towers for myself, friends, and family. This ended up being my favorite functional dice tower. It’s simple, cosmetically looks great, and I don’t have to chase dice ever.

I spent way too long trying to decide what dice tower to print, and came to the conclusion that this was the perfect mid point between functionality, style, and print time. It rolls die perfectly, it's easy to store, it didn't take an entire day to print- but still looks like a cute little castle tower. I'm pretty happy with it! I managed to save a little bit of time and material by printing them in a single plate, and reducing infill density to 10%.

Nice and simple looking. I’d prefer it to have locking mechanism and a lid of some sort to store dice inside. Run out of filament mid-process and got myself a 2 color piece
