Printing Notes
The uploaded sliced files are based on a 0.4 mm nozzle and TPU 90A filament.
If you plan to print with other nozzle sizes (such as 0.6 mm or 0.8 mm), please restore all line widths in the sliced file to default settings before printing — otherwise, errors may occur.
However, printing TPU 90A with 0.6 mm or 0.8 mm nozzles is not recommended, as it will make the sandal noticeably harder.
If you prefer a softer feel, try using materials such as TPU 85A instead.
Before printing with TPU 90A, make sure to read the wiki for details.
🦌 Product Description
DeerStep is a pair of sandals inspired by natural morphology and developed through 3D printing technology.
The design draws inspiration from the hoof structure of even-toed ungulates, featuring a hoof-like toe and outsole, a supportive midsole, and a breathable mesh upper that wraps around the instep and sides.
The contrasting textures highlight both stability and lightness, while the recessed lines along the sides mimic the elegant contours of biological forms, giving each step a natural rhythm and flow.

💡 Design Details

- The upper features a mesh design for enhanced forefoot flexibility.
- The outsole is shaped like a deer's hoof.
🏙️ Intended Use
Designed for indoor or flat urban environments.
For daily walking, please use these on hard, even surfaces.
Avoid rugged terrain, gravel slopes, or high-intensity sports to prevent injury or material damage.
📏 Size & Scaling
The base model is EU size 43. It can be scaled according to the following ratios to achieve a customised fit, and also supports customisation through the Make My Shoe system.
To ensure easy wearing and comfort, DeerStep runs about one EU size larger than standard shoes.
The table below lists foot length, width, and corresponding scaling ratios for each EU size.
Recommended printers: Bambu Lab X1, P1, H2D (see detailed list in documentation).
(The full scale chart is provided in the accompanying file for reference.)

🧵 Material & Printing Tips
For the best results, use Bambu Lab TPU 90A filament — it provides optimal print quality and consistent performance.
🧠 Design Story
I’ve always adored deer — they’re graceful, agile, and quietly powerful.
One day, I thought: what if I could wear something that captures that feeling — like deer hooves?

After trying several split-toe shoes, I realized my wide instep didn’t achieve the elegant, animal-like shape I had imagined… it looked more like a cow or pig hoof instead.

So I decided to design my own version of a hoof-inspired shoe, elegant and hoof-like in silhouette but without an actual toe split.

I elongated the front profile to create a more slender shape and extracted two key visual elements from deer hooves:

- “Separation Line” – the visible boundary between fur and hoof, reinterpreted as a cut-out flex zone at the forefoot.
- “Extension Line” – the seam dividing the two halves of a hoof, which inspired the flowing contour lines on the upper.

The instep and side panels use a mesh texture for breathability and a tactile material contrast.
If you also love hooves, let’s make your own pair of human hooves together! ^ ^
🧠 Post-Printing Processing Guide
To minimise printing time, this pair of shoes (H2D version) employs rear heel support structures. Upon completion of printing, please refrain from forcibly removing the supports, as this may cause tearing damage to the shoe's heel section. Please follow the procedure below for support removal and post-processing:
