Iām very excited to share my first ever functional design. I'm definitely not an expert, I'm still learning a lot about 3D modeling and printing, so this was a big practice project for me. It might have some small errors or issues, but itās working pretty well for my setup.
I noticed that almost all Y-splitters out there either use extra PTFE couplers or they just have a simple hole where the tube can easily slip out. So after checking out a bunch of models and ideas, I came up with this design, it has a built-in, fully 3D-printed coupler.
- No Extra Parts Needed: You don't have to buy metal couplers.
- The design uses a printed thread and a nut to securely lock the PTFE tube in place, so it won't come out
Printing & Assembly Tips:
- Orientation: Print the model vertically, exactly as configured in the provided .3mf file. This ensures the threads and internal paths are printed with the highest accuracy.
- Tube Insertion: When installing your PTFE tube, make sure to apply enough force to push the tube until it hits the internal stopper. This prevents any gaps where filament could snag.
