Description

This is a parametric adjustable support brace designed to provide additional stability for shelves, cabinets, or other furniture. It’s composed of two threaded sections that screw together, allowing the total height to be easily adjusted as needed.

Key Features

  • Parametric Design – Adjust the height parameter to generate custom sizes for your setup.
  • Adjustable Height – The STL included, each printed piece is 210 mm tall, combining for a total adjustable range of up to about 220-400 mm.
  • Smooth Thread Fit – Threads are well-toleranced for standard FDM printers. If they feel tight due to a print seam or first-layer squish, a few drops of light lubricant (e.g. silicone or PTFE) will help them glide smoothly.
  • Custom Fit Options – For slightly looser or tighter threads, scale one of the pieces by ±0.5 % in your slicer.

Use Case

Ideal for adding support beneath sagging shelves, reinforcing display cabinets, or temporary bracing for woodworking and 3D printing projects.

Notes

  • The brace extends up to roughly twice its minimum length, though strength will decrease slightly at full extension.
  • Parametric customization allows quick regeneration for different cabinet heights.
