"I just want to say one word to you... Plastics... There's a great future in plastics. Think about it"  --  Mr. McGuire in The Graduate (1967)

This is a modular vent system I designed for my grow tent.  It is designed to fit a 6" (150mm)  vent opening in an AC Infinity tent. It may work on other grow tents as well. There are a selection of inserts available from light blocking vents to hose adapters.  If this one works out for me I will probably be making an 8" version later.  The vents are all light blocking as are the cable pass throughs when used with the proper fitting grommet.  I am providing grommets for a variety of cable diameters from 5.5 - 9.0 mm.  If you have “rectangle” shaped light weight cables as are typical on fans you will need to use the 9mm grommet in conjunction with one of the included adapter plugs to make it light blocking.  I install the cable grommet first and add the plug last.

The first step is to install the two halves of the main vent.  Pull the tent hole flaps into the interior of the tent and roll them up a little to make it easier to tuck them in.  Install the female half and tuck the flaps into it.  Then screw to exterior male half into place.  Pick the insert that meets your needs and you're done.

If the inserts seem too tight you may need to sand down the seams slightly to push it it.  Don't force it if the two halves are not screwed together.  The weakest point of the male half is the threads (because of the print orientation) and it may break if the two halves are not together when fitting a too snug.

I am unable to check the fit of the 6 inch hose adapter as I don't have any of that hose available.
