Description

Same setup as the 10pc plate holder, but in a compact 5 plate model! Link to the 10pc setup below. The model picture is of the 10 plate version attached to the side of the X1.

Simple rack to hold up to 5 build plates. Screws together with 3mmx14mm socket head cap screws. I included both 3mf and stl files with a multi color stand 3mf file. The 10 plate holder stands on it's own, but this 5 plate version will most likely need the stands if you wish to have it vertical, or opte to use 3m tape and attached it to the side of the X1 like I did. Although since the stand does bolt onto the rack, you can use it to mount to the underside of a bench or shelf in the vertical position.

And be sure to check out my Hex system adapter mounts so you can mount the rack to the a hex wall!

I had that problem with the feet. Even with a freshly cleaned bed, those corners lift off the bed almost immediately.

The print quality and design are great. However both the main and second print profile are scaled incorrectly. EDIT: The scaling is correct, it was pointed out to me that I printed 2 back plates instead of one of each. I'm not sure how it happened because I used just use the send to printer button. I'm sure it was probably human error on my part. I'm leaving this in here so others know to watch for the same mistake. I have updated the photos and ratings to reflect the proper print results.

Not the Scaling is the problem, you printed the endframe two times, the front and backpieces are diffrent, on the pictures its clear to see you printed the Backpiece two times.

Thanks for the point out. I'm not sure how that happened using the send to printer function. It seems to be a recurring issue for others as well. I updated my rating and description to reflect the property printed version.

I just used the "0.24mm layer, 3 walls, 25% infill" print profile and it came out looking great. The only problem is it is sized incorrectly so it prints too small for plates to fit. (Photo attached) I checked the STL files and they are sized correctly. So use caution when printing with the added profiles or you may end up wasting time and material.

Scaling ist correct, look for printing both back and front piece, they are different pieces, when you print the back piece two times no plate will ever fit, it's the same for both versions 5pc or 10pc

Just turn it around! I thought there was a front and a back.

First a failure with extreme warping. Now a nice plate holder. Reduced the infill to 8%. Printed with brim. Thanks for sharing

Very nice print & profile. the design fits for the X1C and the plates slide in and out without trouble. Exactly what i was looking for. I used Extrudr PLA NX2 grey and Sunlu PLA+ black, which i had laying around, within the AMS - printed like a charm without errors.

printed in PLA-CF. I ran out of red with 3 layers to go, so it’s topped off with black. looks unexpectedly great!

perfect, near, shuttle holder for my spare plates. doesn't take up much real estate on the desk which is great for the smaller desks!
