Description

Simple rack to hold up to 10 build plates. Screws together with 3mmx14mm socket head cap screws. I included both 3mf and stl files with a multi color stand 3mf file, but it's not really necessary as it stands on it's own. Although since the stand does bolt onto the rack, you can use it to mount to the underside of a bench or shelf in the vertical position. I opted to use 3m tape and attached it to the side of the X1.

Be sure to check out my coupler to join this 10pc rack and an additional 5pc rack!

And check out my Hex system adapter mounts so you can mount the rack to a hex wall!

Printed with own PLA-CF profile on textured PEO plate from IdeaFormer (see the picture). With some orientation wizardry the lower and upper slotted parts and the feet was printed at once. Great design, well done. Successful print. Recommended model. Many thanks for the professional Creator. \o/

i just couldnt get the side parts to not warp at the ends, after 1.2kg of wasted filament trying and same results 3 times in a row i gave up. tried pei and high temp bed, both scrubbed with dawn dish soup and wiped with alchol prior. see others have managed to print it so no idea whats going wrong 🤷‍♂️

0.2mm layers 2 walls 10% infill( it's only holding some light plate doesn't need to be rock hard) use triangles (they make the print stronger), dry your filament, thats what the warping is from, keep door and top closed and print the first 3 layers at 50% speed with glue pei sheet

i just set it to print from the creators profile. That was painful watching the first few layers at that speed 😆 filament (pla) had been dried for 8hrs prior to loading it after the first 2 failed and wasted a full roll, but i stuck it back in the dryer at 50c for another 3 1/2 hours (its reading 17 on the dryer, was 21 when i stuck it in) which is ample. reduced to 12% infill on triagles as you can see its well spread out. lifted again on both pieces on the left side. Plates clean with soap and warm water, loaded straight in, filaments dried under 20 which for pla is fine. ill try printing one at a time and see if that works. ill shift it over to the right side too just incase theres something going on with that part of the plate or bed

turn your fans off when pritning it in pla. youll need to do it manually before the first layer, and again after the first layer. or program it in yout g code.

Added a negative modifier to remove a lot of the height out of those dividers and saved 4 hours of printing and many meters of filament. Came out very nice. I just installed the AMS Hub and so, printed the parts in different colors to test the 4 colors in 1 of the units. Currently printing the feet in blue. I printed with Standard setting with Arachne wall generator. Default 15% Infill. On Smooth PEI plate with a brim. All in BL PLA Matte. No issues. X1 Carbon w/.4 nozzle.

I'm confused, none of my P1S plates fit in there... does the X1C have a different bed? Edit: scrolled a bit to find someone with a similar problem, only to find out I just had to turn it around ;)
