Description

Hello! I present you a handy tool for heating your space more efficient.

If you have a hot water, oil or electric radiator with the 2 big horizontal tubes and big ribs that relies on convection you might know this problem: The heat is either collecting and being wasted below the window/ledge or simply not being distributed efficiently throughout the room and doest't warm it well.

After some consideration I decided against buying something and created a fan holder for that radiator type, which is somewhat customizable and works with PC fans from 40-200mm size.

The best thing is that you decide which size of fans and mounting style you like to have, in which angle to mount the fan, how many connections you want to the radiator - and print the parts you need for it.

Features:

  • Various Fan size support
    • 200mm 140mm 120mm 92mm 80mm 60mm 40mm
  • 15° incremental angle selector
  • 225mm long variable mounting beam
  • 60mm and 100mm mounting clamps
  • Sturdy design
  • Flexibility of mounting however you want through the angle selector and the variable mounting slots.

You need:

  • 4 *  M5 x 25mm Hex Socket Machine Screw
  • 1 * M5 Nut
  • 4 * M5 Washers (recommended)
  • 1 * PC fan 40-200mm
  • 1 * fan controller
  • 1 * Power supply

Please DON'T use PLA as it is not able to withstand the heat of the radiator! If your heater runs below ~65°C max, you can use PETG. For everything above, please use a better material like ABS/ASA/PET-CF/PA/PC. PET-CF should be best for printing and heat resistance as it won't warp while printing.

Print settings:

  • 0.4mm nozzle
  • 0.16mm layer height (the angle selector/beam needs low layer heights)
  • variable layer height per part (please keep it that way for detail and efficiency)
  • 5 walls (detect thin wall on)
  • 20% cubic infill
  • remove small overhangs off
  • 10mm brim and 20mm on fan holders
