Description
Fishing rod holder
I decided to design a rod holder adaptable to a fishing chair, with a 25 mm diameter tube
For assembly, various threaded holes and nut seats have been prepared
For assembly, you need:
- M5x20 hex bolt for knob (pushes on the movable slide, securing the base body to the chair tube)
- M4x40 grub screw or set screw for slide (to be threaded onto the movable slide through the hole in the main body, serves to provide structure and strength)
- M5 nut to be embedded in the appropriate seat inside the main body and closed with its printed cap
- M5 nut to be embedded in the appropriate seat inside the rod saddle
- M5x25 Allen screw for joining the main body with the rod saddle (thread until it meets the M5 nut, ensures a double seal)
Assembly:
Insert the M5x20 bolt into the knob and close the opening with its printed cap
Insert the M5 nut into the hole in the main body, paying attention to the positioning so that the nut faces contact the printed faces of the seat. Close with its printed cap
Couple the base body with the rod saddle using the M5 Allen bolt. Thread from the beginning until it reaches the nut positioned in the appropriate seat. Conclude the coupling and tightening, considering that the saddle can be coupled to the main body in forced 15° steps to be oriented as desired
Insert the TPU sheath into the appropriate seats of the saddle using a precision screwdriver
For use, two complete prints are necessary, and both components can be assembled. Only the installation direction on the chair will change, as seen in the attached photos
The piece is already used and installed for Bolognese shore fishing, allowing for a quick strike and very fast rod extraction
I hope it can be helpful to you too, as it is to my friend Angelo from Carloforte, a Bolognese fishing champion
