Marine Assistant Case
Print Profile(1)

Description
I purchased the excellent Marine Assistant for my reef tank and wanted an electronics case that was more suitable to my needs.
This case is designed to include panel mount PCB screw terminals (links below) that allows you to easily plug in your equipment. Also, as I already have my own Home Assistant server, I did not need the Raspberry Pi mount, so have removed that. But recognising that some people may still require this, I have included both versions in the print file, and you can easily swap between the 2 versions in the Fusion 360 file by adjusting the history timeline at the end of the design (the elements are grouped).
The case uses M3x4x5 heat set inserts for all threaded items. Example source for these are here: https://amzn.eu/d/0KcgB9k
The case uses a variety of PCB plug connectors. You can buy whichever ones you need, as the file also includes blanking plates if you don't use all the ports. Example location for the connectors are here (3.81mm pitch): https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005006428903661.html
There is a round DC port for the 12v power - I have used this one: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0D72NB2T5. The hole design in the standard design is 8mm, but can be eaily adjusted in Fusion (there is a parameter that drives it), or you can carefully drill the hole to the required size if you don't use the same connectors as I have used.
You will need some M2.5x8 screws to attach the connectors to the case.
The case has been designed for a 2 colour print - 1 colour for the main case, and the second colour for both the printed text and contrast in the lid design. No reason why you can't just print in 1 colour and attach labels afterwards.
The included Fusion 360 has a number of parameters to drive the entire design, in case the tolerances of your printer require some alternative dimensions.
I printed this in PLA as there is no special filament requirement for this model.
