Description

Elephant Foot Compensation Test Kit (0.05mm to 0.3mm)

This set of six calibration parts is designed to help you dial in the perfect "Elephant Foot Compensation" (also known as "Initial Layer Horizontal Expansion") setting on your 3D printer. Finding the right value is crucial for achieving accurate dimensions on your first layer, especially for parts that need to fit together perfectly or sit flush on a surface.

Features:

  • 6 Individual Parts: The kit includes six distinct models.
  • Graduated Compensation: Each part is pre-configured within the 3MF file with a specific compensation value, ranging from 0.05mm to 0.3mm in 0.05mm increments.
    • Part 1: 0.05mm
    • Part 2: 0.10mm
    • Part 3: 0.15mm
    • Part 4: 0.20mm
    • Part 5: 0.25mm
    • Part 6: 0.30mm
  • Easy Calibration: Simply print the provided 3MF file and test which part fits your needs best. A good compensation setting results in a perfectly straight edge on your first layer.

How to Use:

  1. Download the 3MF file.
  2. Open it in Bambu Studio (or a compatible slicer).
  3. Print all six parts.
  4. Examine the base of each print and compare the dimensions/fit. Choose the compensation value that works best for your specific filament and printer settings.
  5. Apply the determined value to the "Initial Layer Horizontal Expansion" setting in your print profile for future prints.

Happy printing and perfect fits!
