FlexGrow – Mini Greenhouse System 3-piece

The **FlexGrow Mini Greenhouse System** is a modular, three-part mini greenhouse for the functional and decorative cultivation of small plants.
It is part of the **Flex Series** and was specifically developed for commercially available glass covers – including the **IKEA KORKEN glass (1 L, Ø 98 mm)**, the **IKEA KORKEN glass (0.5 L)**, and the **LIDL Organic Applesauce Jar (Ø 65 mm, Germany)**

The system is versatile:
For the smaller greenhouse (Applesauce Edition), many other commercially available jars with a similar diameter are also suitable.
Various glass variants are shown in the example images to illustrate the possible applications

The design combines precise construction with a clear, modern appearance.
All components are precisely matched to each other, enabling controlled humidity, stable support, and easy handling during planting, watering, and cleaning

A central feature is the **adjustable ventilation**:
At the edge of the system there is a rotatable air opening that allows the air exchange to be individually adjusted.
This allows the humidity to be specifically increased or ventilation improved – depending on the plant species and desired microclimate

 Structure & Functionality:

🔹 1. Lower Part – Base

The lower part forms the stable foundation and simultaneously serves as a water collector and storage container.
The internal geometry allows for a clear separation between substrate and water reservoir – ideal for creating constant humidity inside the glass

ATTENTION: If you want to fill the base with water,
make sure that **enough wall lines (at least 4–5)** and a **high flow rate** are set to ensure sufficient **tightness**.
Alternatively, the base can be sealed after printing with a waterproof varnish or epoxy resin

🔹 2. Adapter Ring – Middle Ring

The adapter ring precisely connects the lower part and the glass.
It ensures a secure fit and integrates the **ventilation control**.
By turning it, the opening can be gradually adjusted – from almost closed to fully open

🔹 3. Plant Basket – Plant Basket

The upper insert holds soil and the plant.
It has a permeable structure so that excess water can drain off and the roots remain well ventilated.
For plants with high water requirements, a **cotton or nylon cord** can be threaded through one of the lower openings.
This cord acts as a wick and enables **passive self-watering**, where the plant absorbs moisture from the base.
The basket can be easily removed for planting or cleaning

Variants & Compatibility:

• FlexGrow L – KORKEN Edition (Ø 98 mm) – suitable for IKEA KORKEN glass, 1 liter

• FlexGrow S – Applesauce Edition (Ø 65 mm) – suitable for commercially available LIDL Organic Applesauce jars (Germany)

The system is also tolerant of **canning jars with a deviating diameter of approximately ± 2–3 mm**.
Such jars can be easily used if the **entire assembly (all 3 parts)** is proportionally scaled in the slicer.
This allows the system to be flexibly adapted to different glass sizes without impairing functionality
