Version 2: New version of this AMS riser

Improvements and modifications of Version 2 compared to Version 1:

  • The Bambu Lab logo has been reinforced to further stiffen the front face
  • The AMS riser has been modified to accommodate RGBW LEDs (see below for LED reference)
  • The logos at the ends of the front face are now illuminated
  • The AMS riser can now accommodate side tool holder panels

This riser model offers several advantages:

  • Access to the work area, once the glass is removed, is easy without having to disassemble the AMS
  • The raised glass is tilted to prevent it from falling and positioned to offer maximum visibility of the printed part This position also allows hot air to escape from the front and back, thus preventing clogging, for example during PLA prints
  • The AMS is offset to also allow good visibility of the printed part
  • The upper TPU strips allow smooth sliding of the glass in the high position
  • The lower TPU strips do the same for the low position, but also have a visor to prevent being dazzled by the LEDs when observing the printed part
  • The LEDs are raised so as not to hinder the movement of the PTFE tube, thus avoiding the need for additional additions I have indeed tested PTFE guides to be fixed on the print head and PTFE clips for the chain But I found that the PTFE tube was constrained, which in my opinion will eventually cause premature wear of the PTFE tube or the chain
  • You can customize your AMS support with logos compatible with your Bambu Lab printer
  • This AMS riser is compatible with AMS 2 Pro (see AMS 2 pro option further down this page)
  • Finally, I tried to refine the design of this support

Assembly information:

1 - Before assembling the different parts of this AMS riser, you must install each TPU strip Press the lower TPU strips to insert them into their grooves Using a flat-head screwdriver can help insert them more easily Be careful not to press too hard to avoid breakage

2 - Slide the upper left TPU strip into the grooves of the front left and rear left parts to position it correctly

3 - Slide the upper right TPU strip into the grooves of the front right and rear right parts to position it correctly

4 - Use the three wedges to assemble the left, right, and rear parts using 6 M3 8mm countersunk screws (see photos)

5 - Position the LED strips then perform the necessary solders (see photos)

6 - Secure the Bambu Lab logo on the front face using 4 M3x8mm screws

7 - Assemble the AMS support elements using 4 M3x8mm screws

8 - Secure the assembled AMS support onto the riser using 4 M3x8mm screws

9 - Finally, position the brand and machine type logos at the ends of the front face
