Description
This adapter is made for 6.5" speakers, utilizes a 5.25" cutout to accommodate some pretty big speakers. This also is about the limit of what fits behind the grill and still allows some cone travel.
The image is a prototype, it fit great but didn't cover up the mount pin holes of the factory speakers. I redesigned to ensure these were covered if you were trying to seal the area well. Put some speaker gasket on the back and they bolt right up!
I have been told this will fit newer mustangs and also f150's, probably other fords as well.
I used ASA, I am sure other materials will work just fine, I haven't had a single issue yet and they have been installed for a few months in Georgia heat.
