Description

TRENCHER MODEL-P

IMPORTANT: This is a toy that fires a projectile! Never fire at pets or unwilling participants. This can damage drywall and eyeballs, use caution and protective eyewear. Never brandish this as a real weapon or bring it out in public. Just because you know it's a toy, doesn't mean other people will. Make sure to check your local laws regarding replica firearms/ toy guns. Enjoy, be safe, and be smart!

This project is a work in progress.

The Trencher Model-P is a pump-action redesign of the Trencher Carbine inspired by the Winchester Model 1897 or the Trench Gun as it is sometimes called. This redesign is meant to be easier to use and allow for a faster rate of fire, while adding a nice companion piece for the Trencher Carbine. The Model-P uses the same magazines & ammo as the Trencher Carbine & Junker-S so if you have already printed those, you can cut down on the filament needed.

Just finished printing this, amazing model, only issue is I'm not sure how the safety latch attaches, the instructions show it being attached with a screw but there isn't anything to attach it to

It should just screw into the plastic

Doesn't seem there's anything for it to screw into, im using the exact size screws required, also assuming it doesn't actually work to stop the blaster shooting?

Thank you for bringing this to my attention, I have updated the print profile to contain the correct sized barrel. I am sorry for the wasted filament. You should be able to reprint just the barrel by skipping all the other parts on that plate.

I would like too, but I have no experience with nerf guns. I have the STEP files uploaded so it will be easier to modify if anyone else with more experience wants to try

i believe that if you were to launch the dart merely by a spring or bungee cord (not using air or anything difficult liek that), it should be pretty similar to other launching mechanisms--just everything has to be made to nerf size

I will look into it for my next project. I forgot about stringer blasters. It would take too many changes to get this one firing nerf darts, so I'll probably start with just a single shot stringer.

I purchase my springs off of AliExpress from the Chong-Su spring store. You will not be able to find springs in the exact length needed, it is easier to get 305mm springs and then cut them down to the correct size. Just make sure that the wire diameter and outer diameter are the correct size.
