【The romance of 3D printing】The birth of the 15g 'leftover filament savior'——A 4×4 repair artifact, giving every gram of PLA a second life!

Friends, don't miss out! This is a very useful grid module

Watching the filament spool with only a few turns left, my heart aches——Throw it away? Not environmentally friendly; continue printing large items? It will definitely run out of filament

So I rolled up my sleeves, 10 minutes of modeling + 28 minutes of printing, and this 15g 'repair little steel cannon' was born!

A 4×4 grid, each cell 20.6 mm³, just enough to fit M2 screws, washers, bearings, jumper caps, and even 0.5 mm O-rings can lie flat obediently.

Here are the printing parameters:
- 0.2 mm layer, default printing parameters, but! Thin wall detection must be enabled for classic paths! Thin wall detection must be enabled!

This provides enough strength, and can even serve as a 'diving board' for small parts, bouncing a couple of times without breaking off. If you're unsure, you can use A wall, which also works for printing!
- No supports needed, flat bottom with no warping, just shovel it off after printing, hearing that 'click' sound is more satisfying than opening a mystery box!
- Leftover filament on the spool ≤ 20 g can be used up in one go, weighed after printing——actual weight is 14.7 g, even more economical than estimated, instantly felt like saving the cost of a bubble tea.

Practical test:

Just now, I replaced the hotbed pressure pads for QIDI and checked the tightness of the hotbed installation, arranging the 16 screws in a 'clockwise height increase' pattern, and sorting the fixing spring screws for the four pins into separate compartments, increasing disassembly and assembly efficiency by 300%! My students also asked for more to be produced, saying they wanted to categorize all the capes, swords, and helmets of their Lego minifigures, as a 20mm square can hold many small parts.

The 3MF file is attached, print with these parameters, only one modification, which is that thin wall detection must be enabled for classic paths, everything else remains the same, PLA, PETG, both can be printed as is

Go print it, everyone! Let the last centimeter of the filament spool shine——15 g can also support the order of the entire workbench!
