Description

This is a solution to a very niche problem that only cat owners with a self cleaning litter box may have. Mine happens to be from the brand Zedar, but the same model has been licensed under many different brand names. So if your litter box looks like the one on the picture, chances are you have the exact same device.

Problem was that the hinge pin from the inside cover, the one that closes when the device is idle in order to block out the odor, broke off. After a couple fix attempts with a nail and such, I decided to just design and print a new one.

If you plan to use the model, make sure you insert the long hinge pin first.

Interesting, hadn't seen that thing before. I'm guessing it has more a visual benefit than an odor stopping one, seen the wide gaps around and in the middle. Also am I wondering, since the door is so big, I don't see how it can fall back down when a cat walks in. I am under the impression that it stays resting on the back of the cat while he's doing his thing. Is this something that they sell commercially ?
