🧠 optimized for 0.4mm nozzles (works great with 0.2mm too!)
šŸŽØ multicolor friendly — pause at the stripes to swap filament for a true film-slate look.
🧱 print in place — no supports required!
🧲 includes holes for 3x1mm magnets (n52 recommended) for that satisfying snap.

cuepiter is a working, 3d-printed clapperboard attachment designed for the atlas lens co. mini slate, the collectible mini slate given away at filmmaker events and trade shows.

šŸ“ note: this model is designed specifically for atlas mini slate cards, which are slightly thicker than standard credit cards.Ā

– improved hinge thickness for sturdier clapping
– bottom notch position adjusted for better grabbing
– magnet hole position adjusted for cleaner walls

– magnet hole tolerances are tighter but with print-in-place friendly notches

– hinge height adjusted to be 0.12mm layer height friendly (otherwise it would bond together). safe for 0.2mm height!

– overhauled cad design to be dynamically parametric for any slate size (releasing soon!)
– bottom notches for more secure slate hold (inspired by z.clik!)

  1. grab the top and bottom hinge with each hand
  2. gently force open the hinge until it clicks and opens/closes freely
  3. if the hinge breaks, you may need to tune your printer or filament settings

optional step: insert two 3x1mm magnets with a dab of super glue. check polarity before gluing so the clap feels perfect!

– the clapper stick should measure exactly 90.00mm with calipers
– if not 90mm → adjust filament shrinkage or skew settings
– if 90mm but still breaks → tune your x/y hole compensation Ā (start with 0.05mm)
