My local table tennis club has recently purchased new tables that due to circular tubes used for a frame didn't allow to store the net in a good way. I decided to help them by creating a sturdy holder that can be attached to the bottom of the table with double-sided tape.
I printed 15 holders in total with Sunlu PLA+, and it's been two weeks now, and they hold a daily abuse by both children and adult players like a champ (our club rents a school gym, so we can't just keep everything out in the open all the time…), so I decided to share it, maybe someone else will find this useful too. 😀
I decided for this to be fully enclosed from sides and bottom to avoid loosing small caps and make it easy to insert and take out the net. Just roll it on itself and it will store up nicely. It has been tested for size with Butterfly and Donic nets.
For my own purpose, I decided to deboss text at the top of the holder saying “net” in Polish.
I recommend turning off the aux fan on fully enclosed printers to avoid warping.
