E-2A Grumman Hawkeye

This is a Grumman E-2A Hawkeye radar plane.  My father was in the U.S. Navy in the early 60's and was stationed on the USS Enterprise aircraft carrier.  I wanted to make a detailed model of the Enterprise itself, but I quickly came to my senses and realized my abilities and that task were not compatible.  Instead, I decided to model the plane that best represented my father's service.  The Enterprise had many of these planes on board, and my father served as a radarman, so it seemed a natural fit.

I modeled this to be one piece, with hefty supports.  The supports have a pretty significant impact on the model, so if you want a quality model you'll want to print this at a low layer height and plan on doing a small bit of post-production work.
