Dive into the heart of India with this Cowrie Chal board game, also known as Amdavad/Chauka Bara, mixing the strategic kick of classics like Pachisi with some serious cultural flair.

Now it’s a portable box that keeps all your pieces safe—perfect for game nights without losing them. NO AMS.

Game Components

  • Player Pieces (Plate 1): Lion figures inspired by the Gir Lion.
  • Board Box (Plate 2): A 5x5 grid that folds into a hinged box. middle sections inside to store your lions and cowrie shells, while the top has 4 colored house squares  for gameplay.
  • NO AMS required. All colors are on differnt plates. Internal pieces can be snapped into place due to tight tolerance. Might need to apply some force. 
  • Cowrie Shells (Plate 3): Traditional shells as dice, tossing in luck and old-school vibes.

How to Play

  • Roll the cowrie shells to move your lions, aiming for the center or key spots.
  • Similar to Ludo. Outsmart your rivals with kills and smart moves—easy to pick up, hard to master.
