Glass Desk Metal Frame Plastic Insert

These are replacement plastic end caps designed to fit inside the hollow metal frame ends of desks that use glass tops and metal supports. The original caps serve both a functional and aesthetic purpose: they close off the open tubing, provide a smooth finish, and help prevent scratches on floors, walls, or the glass panel.

Over time, the factory supplied caps can loosen, crack, or get lost, leaving the frame ends exposed. These 3D-printable replacements are a quick and durable solution to restore your desk’s original look and stability.

Recommended Print Settings

• Material: PLA+ or PETG for strength and durability
• Infill: 50–100% depending on strength preference
• Layer Height: 0.2 mm for a smooth fit and finish

Notes

• Be sure to measure your desk’s frame tube dimensions before printing to ensure a snug fit.
• Depending on your printer’s tolerances, you may need to lightly sand the caps or scale slightly for a perfect fit.
• Can also be customized to fit other furniture that uses hollow metal tubing.
