Description

I designed this tool because I found it inconvenient to hold a cloth directly in my hand while cleaning. With this handle, you can easily attach a microfiber cloth to wipe windows, glass, or any surface. I originally considered using Velcro for fastening, but since I don’t have a sewing machine, I went with screws instead.

The great thing is, it’s versatile — you’re not limited to cloth. You can also attach sandpaper or other materials, making it useful for both cleaning and light sanding tasks.

I also created a printable extension that allows you to extend the handle as much as you need .

I used m6 hex bolts :

4x-  25mm

1x-  35mm

and the m6 knobs i used : https://makerworld.com/en/models/74918-knurled-handle-m3-to-m8-nuts#profileId-79624

Very sturdy. I printed it mainly to clean my SUV windows, which are a pain to clean. I was applying quite a bit of force and it showed no signs at all of breaking. I used 8mm heat set inserts, and they fit fairly well. Not too sure they'll last, since the model wasn't designed for them. The reason I used them was because I had trouble fitting in 6mm socket head bolts in the bottom holes. Rather than forcing them in, I opted for the inserts. The socket heads fit perfectly into the knurled caps, which were printed during the same print, so I don't think it was a shrinkage issue. Printed in bambu ABS black.

Yeah, I definitely think that was my screwup. I was thinking I should've put the screws in the bottom. If it was made to put the nuts in the bottom, which actually sounds like the better option, then completely disregard my critique. If (more likely when) then heat set inserts break loose, I'll use nuts on the bottom with a dab of super glue to keep them in place. Either way, I used it on SUV window yesterday and I was able to clean the entire window from the drivers' side, and it came out perfect. It definitely accomplishes its intended task well.
