Introduction

Introducing the Ultimate Drumstick Holder V4: My Universal, Modular, and Hardware-Free Solution for Fellow Drummers!

This completely redesigned drumstick holder enhances my previous V2 design (and V3!) with innovative improvements, featuring

a fully adjustable, modular, hardware-free universal clamp system that adapts to any drum setup,

providing unparalleled versatility and customization.

After dedicating over 40 hours to this comprehensive redesign, inspired by your community feedback and my own challenges during practice sessions, I've developed a more refined and functional accessory that genuinely enhances your drumming experience.

You can print the modular parts (base clamp, holder arms, accessories) separately, then easily snap them together.

Feel free to mix colors, AMS is not required!

Key Features and Innovations

This design is an universal tool for all drummers, eliminating screws or tools while boosting compatibility and functionality:

  • 100% Hardware-Free Installation: Secures firmly without any external hardware or glue required. Just snap it together for super-quick, effortless setup,
  • Built‑in drumkey slot: never miss the damn thing again…
  • Stronger, better: Improved strength, easier adjustment, 80% of components now print‑in‑place, plus a built‑in drumkey holder.
  • Universal Compatibility: New adjustable universal clamp fits poles from 19mm to 38mm, compatible with acoustic drums, e-drums, v-drums, practice pads, and more.
  • Full 360° Adjustability: Extensive range of motion while ensuring a secure attachment. You can rotate and adjust it in any direction for convenient access, regardless of your kit's configuration.
  • Modular and Expandable Design: Combine various components, shapes, colors, and extensions to personalize and expand for up to two holders, allowing for creative printing options!

Universal Clamp Options

To improve adaptability, the print profile includes two clamp sizes for a precise fit across various setups (thanks @wesyarber for the valuable input). Choose the size that best suits your equipment:

Double Small clamp  (19mm - 28mm)

Ideal for narrower poles, including practice pads, hi-hat, stands, various drum kit hardware (e.g., Tama,Yamaha, etc. stands). This option is perfect for acoustic kits where space is limited. designed for poles with diameters of 19 mm, 25 mm, and 28 mm.

Double Large clamp (19mm - 55mm)

Ideal for accommodating thicker poles found on e-drums and v-drums (e.g.: Roland, Yamaha, etc.), it supports poles with diameters ranging from 19 mm to 25 mm.

Single Small clamp  (19mm - 28mm)

deal for narrower poles, including practice pads, hi-hat, stands, various drum kit hardware (e.g., Tama,Yamaha, etc. stands). This option is perfect for acoustic kits where space is limited. designed for poles with diameters of 19 mm, 25 mm, and 28 mm, but with a single connector

Single Large clamp (19mm - 55mm)

Ideal for accommodating thicker poles found on e-drums and v-drums (e.g.: Roland, Yamaha, etc.), it supports poles with diameters ranging from 19 mm to 25 mm, but with a single connector

Holder Shape Options

This version comes with different holder desings for ultimate flexibility: rounded rectangle (compact, for classic reach), rounded 65Ø (for extra pairs), round 80Ø and star-shaped (for expanded capacity). Pick, mix, or swap them to perfectly match your needs.

Accessory Options

I'm adding accessories regularly, feel free to reach out in the comments or by PM. Here’s the current list of available accessories:

Assembly Instructions

Print the modular parts separately ( clamp, pin, holders, handles )  then snap them together.

Clamp it to your pole, tweak the tension, and slot in the holders, all in 4 simple steps:

A beautiful print. V3 long option works well on the 38mm tubes. Printed in Matte black. Thank you!

Thank you so much for your feedback on the design! I appreciate your insights. Could you please specify where exactly the defects were located in the caliper area? Your details will really help me make improvements.

Hello, I'm sorry I printed your model for a friend's son who just got his first drum set for Christmas and I no longer have the object in my possession for a photo the defect I had was on the outer side of the caliper on the flat part (I glued a piece of carbon fiber imitation to hide it) I think I had a problem with a support which might have detached from the print bed without me being able to explain it

Hi again, No worries! Thank you so much for your input; it gives me a clearer idea of the area I need to focus on, even though I didn’t experience issues during my tests. I’ll take a closer look. By the way, what a great gift for your friend's son! It's always nice to see another drummer around.

I used this for a while, then both of the clamps connectors failed. I went to re-print and make that part 100% (or stronger at least) and found some strange internal shapes going on? Likely it was a screw in systme once and the voids made it into the final model? Could this be fixed? or is it intentional? Also the hole on one side limits how much strength it can have, a bit.

Thank you for the feedback and the boost! Just to clarify, were the clamp connectors the parts that broke? If so, could you specify where exactly they failed: was it at the joint, the base, or another area? Regarding the voids from the screw design in v3, it seems those may have unintentionally carried over into the final model. I will address this.

The failed at the point the connector part joins to the main clamp, a nearly sheer break across the plane of clamp's edge. That's why i tried to re-print with that part at 100% thickness and how i ended up spotting the internal structure.

Hi there, it should be fixed now! I've just release an update to enhance clamp's strength and fix the issue with connector gap, be sure to refresh the print profile

Great design! I used it on my hi-hat stand and it does make some noise when playing on it. After investigation, it was the sticks inside the holder that was making this noise so I added some felt inside and that solved the problem. Thank you for this item.

Looks neat. I'm about to print it, but I'm going to cut a lot off of the length of the bolts, because I'm not sure why they need to be that long! Maybe that would be a good update to this. Or maybe you can let me know a reason I'm missing for what hey should be so long.

Also, a good chamfer along the edges of the gears would be a great quality of life improvement

Hi there @wesyarber and thanks for the feedback. Bolts are this long to extend up to 38mm (edrums pole) but I agree with you about the need of small clamp for the "normal" range of drumkit, also got the point on the chamfer Thanks!

@wesyarber I've just updated print profiles: applied more chamfer and introduced a smaller clamp. Thanks!
