Description

I use a TPMS on my bike because I ride in thorny areas where roofing nails fall from the sky and flats are only made better by knowing about them before pulling in front of a semi.

The complicated OEM clamps that come with handlebar accessories are prone to break and take up way too much space.  This clip uses cable ties to secure the mount to the handlebar.  I have used this design on my MTB for three years and it has never failed.  Everything else on the bike has failed (including the TPMS) but not the clip.

The design is for small cable ties ( 2mm x 5mm ) but I can post a version for larger ones if there is a need.

I use a square of double sided tape on the bolt head to keep it from scratching my handlebar.  That also keeps the clip from rotating around the bar.

There are three basic sizes of handlebars on bikes and motorcycles.  Print the plate that matches the size you need:

Plate 1:  22.2 mm or 7/8"

Plate 2: 31.75 mm or 1 ¼"

Plate 3: 25.4 mm or 1"

I used a ¾" ¼-20 thread bolt because that is what fits my camera and my TPMS.

Most mounts come with tightening wheels that you can transfer over.  I designed a small one   It is meant to be tight and will be hard to get started on the bolt.  If it is impossible, increase your X-Y hole compensation under Quality.  I use 0.3.

As an added benefit of this mount, I am able to charge my TPMS with it still on the bike.
