Description

Hexcore Mini Pocket Pen

An original pen design that quickly transforms from comfortable pocket-sized to full-sized by removing the cap and stowing it on the rear of the pen. The Hexcore design is comfortable to hold and shows off its colorful interior without the need for an AMS.

Features

  • Pocket-sized length of 97mm (3.81")
  • Full-sized writing length of 146mm (5.75")
  • Cap firmly snaps closed onto both ends of the pen.
  • Accepts common ink refills from multiple brands. Just insert and cut to length!
  • Basic customization without the need for an AMS.

Purchased Items

Each pen requires a ballpoint ink refill that is at least 92.8mm (3.65") long. Inexpensive refills can be purchased online. I like to use this one: https://a.co/d/7Q3lAtH

Printing Tips

  • Always clean your build plate with water and mild soap.
  • No Supports - All parts are designed to print without supports.
  • Brim - A brim is required for the barrel of the pen.
  • Recommended Material - PLA Basic and PLA Matte filaments. Good quality filament that demonstrates strong layer adhesion is a must. Dry your filaments before printing and/or bump your nozzle temperatures a tiny bit if you experience issues.

Assembly

Each assembly requires one each of the printed components plus a ballpoint ink refill that is at least 92.8mm (3.65") long.
Insert the cap sleeve into the cap with the open end facing up.
Use the tip of the pen barrel to push the cap sleeve.
Now use the small end of the ink cap sleeve to fully seat the cap sleeve.
Carefully seat the cap sleeve to full depth and then remove the ink cap sleeve.
Insert the ballpoint ink refill into the pen barrel. Do not remove the refill once you have inserted it.
Use a sharp blade to cut the rear of the ink refill flush with the back of the pen barrel.
Insert the ink cap sleeve over the end of the ink refill.
Firmly seat the ink cap sleeve to the pen barrel.
The assembly is complete.
