FLL Earrings (Simplified)

This is a model of FLL-style earrings for adults and kids to wear at their FLL meetings and competitions. It is a remix that was first produced on MakerWorld as a CAD file by val. (many thanks to val. for providing the model). The original model was meant to be downloaded and printed in with one color of PLA and then painted afterwards. In this version, I changed the file into an STL/3MF (now able to download/print in Bambu Studio/Bambu Handy), split the model into parts onto three different printer plates, and then cut the white circle in half. After printing each shape with different-colored filament, I attached the two white semicircles back together with CA glue while also linking the red triangle and blue square (this is much easier for me to do, as I'm not particularly skilled with a paintbrush).

I provide three print profiles here. One profile includes a single pair of earrings on three plates (about 30 minutes total). Another profile has all earring parts on one plate and will “print by part” (instead of by layer to avoid time delays and color-change waste). The third profile includes 18 pairs, if, for example you want to hand them out as bling to other attendees at FLL events. (If you do hand out earrings out to others, be sure to sanitize all the metal fishhooks and store the earrings in zip lock bags ahead of time.) The printer presets are currently set for a 0.4 mm nozzle, which works just fine, but if you have a 0.2 mm nozzle (and a bit of extra time/patience) the earrings look nicer with finer nozzle/printer presets.
