Hello,

 

Wanting to optimize the storage of my spools, I have a Kallax shelf available, but unfortunately no optimized support existed…

 

So I created a support that allows storing up to 10 spools per Kallax cube.
(Photos only show Bambu Lab spools)

 

Advantages:

  • Compatible with spools in airtight packaging (single-use or reusable) → they stay dry
  • Also allows storing refills
  • The support is not fixed to the furniture → it can be pulled out like a drawer to access the spools at the back
  • Optimized storage: spools do not protrude from the front or back → possibility to add a back panel or door to the Kallax

Available versions:

  • Tray 256 mm³
  • Tray A1 mini
  • Perforated version (for more style)

Required material:

  • 4 pieces of IRL tube Ø16 mm, length 335 mm

If you plan to pull the support out like a drawer: I recommend gluing the 2 parts (small and large) together.
Otherwise, the interlocking is sufficient
