Introducing The Over-Engineered Mechanical Razor / Shaver Holder. This spring loaded (Using Rubber bands) mechanical holder is designed to stick onto tiles or glass in the bathroom to hold your razor / razors.
Tired of your razor sitting on a shelf or awkwardly falling in the shower? Then this design is perfect for you! Keep those moisturising strips dry and prolong their life.
It features an incredibly versatile grabbing mechanism that suits large or small razors. I have tested this with a large range of different handheld manual razors from disposable to reusable including popular models from Gillette and Schick.
I created this as an exploration of the satisfying snappy over-center sprung loaded mechanism.
It is designed to attach to tiles of glass using a Command Strip or similar. If you wish to use it in the shower you will need to get a waterproof strip for obvious reasons.
If you have some good double sided tape, this will also work fine.
If you wish to mount this in your shower, please consider printing it in PETG or ABS.

Assembly Instructions:
![]() | Full Assembly Video |
![]() | Step 1: Print All the Parts |
![]() ![]() | Step 2: Remove the supports. These should easily snap off with some pliers / snippers. |
![]() | Step 3: Get the Base and install the left grab arm. |
![]() | Step 4: Now slot on the Right grab arm. |
![]() ![]() | Step 5: Using the printed screws, screw these in until they are finger tight. They should sit relatively flush with the arms. |
![]() ![]() ![]() | Step 6: Using 2 equally sized rubber bands loop them onto the base and onto each of the arms as shown. Once you have done this test the “Snappyness” of the mechanism. If its too loose for your liking, loop it around again. If its too tight try reducing the loops.
Please note: You need to ensure the rubber bands on the base posts are sitting only on the large cylinder. Do not have them on the small cylinder. I suggest using a flat head screwdriver to push them down as per the images. |
![]() | Step 7: Now get the lid and slot it onto the small cylinder posts from the step above. Once it is aligned, apply even compression on the top and bottom and it will snap into place and secure all the parts. |

Bill of Materials:
I have listed the Bambu Shop relevant items, but really you just need some rubber bands and some double sided tape or equivalent.
If Buying from Bambu | |
|---|---|
![]() | 2 x Rubber Bands. 1.4mm Thickness x 35-40mm Diameter worked well for me. I have included the Bambu Rubber bands in the BOM, but use whatever you have laying around. The length isn't that critical and can be adjusted with more or less loops. |
![]() | 1 x Medium Size Self Adhesive Strip. 3M Command strips or similar. I have listed the Bambu double sided Adhesive tape, but you can also use any brand of removable adhesive strips. |
Adhesive Strip Alternatives (Not From Bambu) | |

![]() | If you want to install this in the shower, you will need waterproof adhesive strips. These work well. https://www.tesa.com/de-de/buero-und-zuhause/tesa-powerstrips-waterproof-small-ean-4042448392763.html?gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=22122144602&gbraid=0AAAAA-iPf4h9dVmANySwFmbhtU-PB8YgX&gclid=Cj0KCQjwoP_FBhDFARIsANPG24NQfc56KJbg4faNN9U92d5nixWnemjIk-d_Ou_iF8aAj0PPXgdggSEaAkqaEALw_wcB |
