Description
Compatible with standard 1/4" (6.35mm) bits and precision 4mm bits, made for IFIXIT Screwdrivers in mind, but should be fairly universal. Extenders come in SLIM and SEMISLIM versions tailored for tight spaces.
35mm to 125mm sizes.
🖨️ Recommendations:
- Material: I have tested PLA and ABS with good results, but any hard filament with good layer adhesion should do, like reinforced CF(Carbon Fiber) or GF(Glass Fiber) filaments. I haven't tested PETG but i assume the SLIM version would bend when force is applied.
- Layer Height: 0.16mm or finer
_ Printing Speed and Temp: the slower and hotter the better layer adhesion, but too much and it will affect tolerances.
- Ensure tight bit fit—scale slightly if you need tighter or looser fit.
- For longer versions (50mm+) or for more stability, consider printing the models with bases, print then cut the little tabs with some cutters.
Given a forces analysis, i made the fit on the screwdriver a little looser so if it snaps it wont get stuck and be impossible to get out.
