There wasn't quite room on the desk for the laptop, to which two external monitors and all the peripherals were connected anyway. This prompted me to design something that would allow the laptop to take up less space. I wanted a simple design and couldn't find anything online that suited me, so I designed this :)
I made sure that the stand also has a holder for the power cable, because (as you can see in the photos) in my case the laptop is standing on the right side of the desk and unfortunately the USB-C port was on "the wrong" side :)
To " insert" the laptop stand, simply slide it in from the side. If, like me, you want to put the power cable in there too, remember to do this BEFORE sliding the stand onto the laptop :)
In the BIOS settings of the laptop, you can set an option whereby inserting the power cable automatically starts the computer, which makes work very easy in this case!
My copy is printed using PETG with Aluminium colour, due to the fact that the laptop can heat up I would be cautious about using PLA in this case. The Aluminium colour, by the way, matches the laptop lid itself very well!
It is very possible that the stand may also fit other Dell models, but I am unable to check this as I only own this one. If anyone checks it out, I'd be very grateful for the info in the comments!
