Fishing Rod Holder – MAGNIGHT Edition 🎣

This project started as a fun idea for my son. He’s recently gotten into fishing and making YouTube videos about his adventures. To support both hobbies, I designed this modular fishing rod holder featuring his channel name, MAGNIGHT. https://www.youtube.com/@MAGNIGHTYT/shorts

The goal is simple: give him a cool, functional piece of gear for his videos while also offering others the chance to download, print, and use it. By doing so, you’re not just grabbing a free model—you’re helping inspire and support a young angler, YouTuber, and creator.

About the Design

• Modular System – Built in three parts:
  1. Stake – Pushes into the ground like a tent stake.
  2. Reel Mount – Screws onto the stake with sturdy threads.
  3. Nameplate – Comes with the MAGNIGHT logo/channel branding.

  4. Screws - Not included are 4 screws for the nameplate, they are #6 x .375"

      

• Expandable Concept – The included stake works well for grass, dirt, or soft ground, but I’m planning more attachments if people are interested:
  • Screw-type for sand
  • Clamp-style for boat rails or golf carts
  • Other creative mounts for different fishing spots
