I previously used a 4-way magnetic base, but found it inconvenient sometimes for multi-color printing. I still hoped to have as many colors as possible readily available for quick switching. So, I added another 4-spool filament dryer box. To facilitate easy filament spool switching, I redesigned an A1 gantry magnetic filament change base myself.

To enhance sealing and stability, the magnetic connection is designed as a plug that can be inserted into the base, increasing both sealing and stability.

Additional required materials list:

16 PC4-M6 pneumatic connectors

8 pairs (16 pieces) of magnets with 12mm outer diameter, 4mm thickness, and 4mm bore diameter

Hi..I see no ones commented yet which is surprising, as this looks like a very useful design. SO far - are you still 'happy' with the design. I wondered if there was anything you would change - for example - possibly stronger magnets?. I'm just about to order the magnets and print this; so thought I would ask
