Base hex tile – compatible con Casting Shadows

I designed this base for the hex tiles of Casting Shadows to prevent them from getting disorganized during the game due to table movement, meeples, cards, or other elements. With these bases, the hex tiles are held together by magnets, achieving a more organized and fluid gaming experience.

Requirements:

• Base game: 7 bases
• Expansions: 3 extra bases for each expansion used
• Each base requires 6 magnets of 4 mm Ø x 1.5 mm high (42 magnets for the base game + 18 extra per expansion)

Tip: I placed magnets on all sides to facilitate quick board setup, but you can use fewer magnets if you omit those on the edges.

Design features:

• Compatible with Casting Shadows hex tiles (base and expansions)
• Modular system with 4 mm Ø x 1.5 mm high magnets
• Lightweight design with honeycomb pattern: only 14.42 g of filament per hex base
• Total height: 6 mm

Print recommendation:

• Layer height: 0.2 mm
• 15–20% infill (though the honeycomb pattern already saves material)

• PLA works perfectly
