Print Profile(1)

Description
The Caduceus derives from Hermes or Mercury, the winged messenger, and is a staff intertwined by two snakes and represents medicine. The head of the staff generally has two wings. It is important that this should be distinguished from the wand of Aesculapius, God of Medicine, whose staff is rough hewn and intertwined with a single snake. [*]
