Description
This design was created as a solution to a tapping sound that would occur when the heatbed travelled to its rear-most position and the cable would make contact with the wall behind the printer. My aim was to guide the cable more upward than backward without placing any pressure or restriction on the cable. As the cable connections between printer base and heatbed are not in alignment, the channel the cable sits in is angled.
UPDATE:
- I used a heatgun to deform the modelled channel as the cable has a tendency to drop to the right. This made all the difference to ensuring the cable stays within the channel. See final image.
- Also, ignore printing the additional part that fits under the heatbed. I could not get it to stick reliably. Probably heat related.
. None of my printers tap the wall now. Enjoy!
