Description

a few weeks back a friend of mine went to Universal studios and found this trex popcorn bucket.. my nephew loved it so much that i was guilted into designing and making my own version of it.. and it turns out that it would also be a great candy bowl for halloween too..

Similar to the Universal studios version.. i made the legs and tail articulated.. so it swings when you pick it up.. the whole baby rex is around 30cm tall if printed using standard A1 X1 P1 printer.. and can go up to 40cm if you max out the size for the H2D..
The print is multicolor but the claws and teeth are printed seperately.. and the inside of the mouth is also printed seperately.. so glueing is a must.. the pegs that holds the legs also needs to be glued on before assembling the legs.. It uses 5 color total and i have arranged it so it only uses a single AMS to print multicolor.. my profile uses dark green and dark chocolate because my nephew wanted his in green.. not brown..

The hinges for the mouth and tail are spring loaded.. so no external hardware is needed.. all parts are 3d printed..
I recommend printing the claws and teeth using TPU so it will be soft to touch.. although i already modelled blunt cute claws and teeth..
There are 3 different sizes of teeth and claws that needs to be glued on the baby rex.. the holes also have different size for each tooth..

  1. 4x long teeth for top mouth + 2x claws for back of mouth
  2. 8x short teeth for bottom mouth
  3. 6x claws for the feet

Internally there is a bowl/bucket inside of the baby rex so you can fill it up with candies..  or you can insert a small container in them.. i have tried to insert Garrett popcorn small tin as well.. so you can just print extra buckets for different candy refills..

FYI.. I might turned this baby rex candy bowl into a crowdfunding.. going to make the baby rex wear cute halloween costumes.. look out for it on the crowdfunding page in the near future.. i will make the project finish before halloween so everyone can have time to print one themselves..

Anyway.. this is my baby rex candy bowl for your halloween props this year.. have fun 3d printing it..
