A1 Z-AXIS METAL CROSSBEAM COVER

2 piece and 1 piece versions available, with the 2 piece version also including a spool holder variant!

I designed these covers to go over the metal Z-Axis crossbeam on the A1. They're purely cosmetic, easy to pop on, and provide a dramatic pop of colour to my printer! Consider pairing them with some of my other cosmetic A1 accessories:

I recommend printing the 2 piece version for the simplest and cost-effective filament option. A 2 piece option that is 36mm shorter is also available for those that wish to have space for the filament spool holder that comes with the A1. For those ambitious and with filament to spare, a 1 piece version print profile is available, but it uses at least 17g of support material because of it's print orientation. Due to the large fillets, I do NOT recommend reorienting the print such that the top is facing the print bed; the print quality will be gaudy at best. It is a large amount of support, but after prying the support material away, there is just enough clearance to run a bench scrapper under the model for any interface material still adhering to it.
